These mouth-watering fish cakes will turn your keto journey into a joy ride!

Ingredients for 6 servings

Cake

  • 1 pound (453.59g) of boneless cod or salmon fish.
  • 1/4 cup (15g) of cilantro leaves and stems.
  • A pinch of salt to taste.
  • A pinch of chili flakes.
  • 2 garlic cloves.
  • 2 tablespoons of coconut oil.
  • Avocado oil for the hands.

Dipping Sauce

  • 2 ripe avocados.
  • 1 lemon, juiced.
  • A pinch of salt to taste.
  • 2 tablespoons of water.

Instructions

1 Using a food processor or a high-speed blender, add in all the ingredients for the cake then blend until the mixture is fully combined. Place a non-stick skillet pan over medium-high heat then add in the coconut oil. Once the oil is hot, grease clean hands with the avocado oil, make about eight patties out of the fish mixture, then add to the skillet pan.
2 Cook the cakes for a few minutes until they become golden brown in colour and cooked through. In the meantime, place the lemon juice, avocado, water, and salt to taste in a blender then blend until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.
3 Serve the fish cakes with the sauce and enjoy.
