Ingredients for 6 servings

  • 1 lb. (453.59g) of peeled, deveined, and chopped shrimps.
  • 1/2 lb. (112g) of bacon.
  • 3 cups (700ml) of chicken stock.
  • 1 1/2 cups (355.7 ml) of heavy whipping cream.
  • 1/4 cup (40g) of chopped onion.
  • 2 teaspoons of ground black pepper to taste.
  • 2 teaspoons of smoked paprika.
  • Pink Himalayan salt to taste.

Instructions

1 Place a cooking pot over medium heat, add in the bacon and cook for a few minutes until it becomes crisp. Once cooked, place the bacon in a bowl, let it cool for a few minutes then crumble. Still using the same pot over medium heat, add in the onions and cook for a few minutes until it becomes soft.
2 Next, add in the chicken stock, heavy whipping cream, paprika, salt, and pepper to taste, stir to combine then boil for a few minutes until it thickens. Add in the shrimp and bacon then simmer the chowder for a few minutes, serve.
