This delicious sesame chicken will become a family favourite on the very first try.

Ingredients for 4 servings

Main Dish

  • 1 1/2 lbs. / 750g of sliced boneless skinless chicken breast.
  • 1/2 tablespoon of xanthan gum.
  • Salt and pepper to taste.
  • 3 tablespoons of coconut aminos.
  • 2 tablespoons of swerve.
  • 1 teaspoon of mirin.
  • 2 teaspoons of ginger paste.
  • 2 teaspoons of minced garlic.
  • 2 teaspoons of sesame oil, divided.
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil.

Serving

  • Sesame seeds.
  • Chopped green onions.

Instructions

1 Use a sharp kitchen knife to slice the chicken into smaller sizes then season with salt and pepper to taste. Place the seasoned chicken into a Ziploc bag alongside some sprinkles of xanthan gum then shake to coat.
2 Place a skillet pan over medium-high heat then add in the olive and 1 teaspoon of sesame oil. Once the oil is hot, add in the chicken and cook for about three to four minutes. Flip the chicken pieces over and cook for another two to three minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
3 In the meantime, using a large mixing bowl, add in the rest of the ingredients on the list then mix properly to combine. Pour the mixed sauce into the pan containing the chicken then cook for about one to two minutes. Don’t forget to stir as you cook.
4 Serve the chicken with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
