Ingredients for 2 loaves of bread

Bread Ingredients

  • 1 cup (240g) of warm almond or coconut milk.
  • 1 large and beaten egg.
  • 2 tablespoons of softened butter.
  • 1/4 cup (45g) of keto sugar substitute of choice.
  • 1 teaspoon of salt to taste.
  • 3 cups (288g) of almond flour.
  • 2 teaspoons of active dry yeast.

Egg Wash

  • 1 large egg.
  • 1 tablespoon of water.
  • Italian seasoning which is optional.

Instructions

1 Using a large mixing bowl, add in the wet ingredients for the bread then mix properly to combine. Using another mixing bowl, add in the dry ingredients then mix to combine. Pour the dry ingredients into the bowl containing the wet ingredients then mix properly to combine until a dough form.
2 Next, flour a kitchen working surface, place the dough on it then divide into two equal parts. Make balls out of the dough, knead each dough for a few minutes, flatten with your hands then place them in two baking loaf pans. Cover the baking pans and let the dough rise for about forty-five minutes.
3 Using a small mixing bowl, add in the egg and water then beat to combine. Brush the dough with the egg wash, add some sprinkle of Italian seasoning if desired then bake in a preheated oven of 177 degrees C (350 degrees F) for about twenty-five minutes or five minutes less until the bread becomes golden brown in colour.
4 Once baked, let the bread loaf cool on a rack for about ten minutes, slice and serve.
